New Alive Book The Velveteen Rabbit Available On the Apple App Store

XIMAD has released the 12th book from “BooksAlive” series. The book is available on the Apple App Store for free.

XIMAD, Inc. announced the release of its newest interactive digital book, Margery Williams’ The Velveteen Rabbit, for the iPad. This marks the 12th digital book from “Books Alive” series. Even more “alive” eBooks are planned to be released in the near future.

As with all of XIMAD digital books, this interactive app is engaging and educational. To promote reading in young children, objects move and get animated when you tilt the iPad and tap on its screen,  illustrations respond to hand-gestures and come to life as the pages are flipped. The Velveteen Rabbit HD appeals to readers of all ages and is currently available on the Apple App Store absolutely for free.

The Velveteen Rabbit or How Toys Become Real is a children's novel written by Margery Williams. It chronicles the story of a stuffed rabbit and his quest to become real through the love of his owner. The book was first published in 1922 and has been republished many times since.

The Velveteen Rabbit was Williams' first children's book. It has been awarded the IRA/CBC Children's Choice award.

“These interactive apps allow a child to become an active participant as they read a book,” said Eugene Devyatyh, Founder and President of XIMAD. “We are passionate about engaging children in the learning experience through the use of technology.”
