Grimm's Rumpelstiltzkin is "Alive" and Available on Apple's App Store

We are announcing today the release of our newest digital book, Grimm Brothers’ classic Rumpelstiltzkin, for the iPad. This marks the 10th digital book from "BooksAlive" series, and we plan to release “live” eBooks for more classic titles in the near future.

As with all of XIMAD digital books, this interactive app is engaging and educational. To promote reading in young children, objects move and get animated when you tilt the iPad and tap on its screen, illustrations respond to hand-gestures and come to life as the pages are flipped. Rumpelstiltzkin is currently available on Apple’s App Store as a free download.

Rumpelstiltzkin is a character and the main antagonist in a fairy tale of the same name that originated in Germany (where he is known as Rumpelstilzchen). The tale was collected by the Brothers Grimm, who first published it in the 1812 edition of Children's and Household Tales. It was subsequently revised in later editions.

“We’re proud that our apps continue to feature eye-catching graphics, easy-to-follow narratives and promote Grimm’s love of words and reading,” said Eugene Devyatyh, Founder and President of XIMAD, Inc. “We are committed to creating eBooks and games that engage and educate children in a fun and dynamic way.”
